The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce (56/52)

Joyce continues her trend of writing wonderful tales of specific people who spend much of their lives in routine to find life brimming with joy. The characters in this novel are painfully human and yet, peculiarly intriguing. The specificity of musical references throughout the book are mesmerizing pushing me to YouTube to pull up clips. This was a perfect summer read. Despite some sadness, it is buoyed by joy. Well worth the read.
