My Friend Dahmer by Derf Backderf (36/52)

Graphic novels aren’t usually my thing. They use an image instead of words to transcend. Backderf’s illustrations make the horrifying story of Jeffrey Dahmer’s descent into madness palpable. The story carries itself, however, Backderf’s unflinching and sometimes judgemental reflections cast this in a much more personal light. I consumed this book. Frightening, but you can’t look away.
