Life is a Marathon by Matt Fitzgerald

Studying the why of running marathons is fascinating enough. Fitzgerald takes it one step further by challenging himself to run 8 marathons in 8 weeks across the US. He takes the final step by exploring the nature of his relationship with his wife who suffers severe mental disability. He likens the struggles of pushing our bodies past our limits to the struggles of love and of course, the reward we get when we do. It’s a compelling story, though at times a wee bit whiny. Good read.
