An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin (57/52)

Steve Martin, the venerated comedian and actor, offers a serious, reflective look at the art world through two main characters. The narrator Daniel, a arts writer, and Lacey, an upwardly mobile art connoisseur entangle us in the world of art collectors, the shady underbelly of art dealers, and naturally, the art itself. There is a poetry when the story turns to specific pictures and a clear love for the painted image. This is a fine novel written by a great polymath. Glad I read it.
